About Leora

Leora has been fighting counterfeiters for more than a decade. Raised in California, Leora moved to the Northeast to attend Yale Law School; then practiced law in the New York metropolitan area. After working on a series of criminal and civil counterfeiting cases in Miami, Leora took advantage of a recent opportunity to relocate there. She joined South Florida's Kluger, Peretz, Kaplan & Berlin, PL, as Of Counsel in 2004 and was made Partner in 2006.

Leora's practice focuses on anti-counterfeiting, licensing of trademarks, copyrights, patents and celebrity rights of publicity, U.S. and international trademark protection, and copyright law. Leora speaks and writes regularly on counterfeiting and other intellectual property topics. She is the Copyright Litigation columnist for the IP Litigator and formerly taught trial practice at the University of Bridgeport School of Law.

"I'm passionate about the law as a social institution, an intellectual endeavor, and a calling. Day-to-day, I love the intellectual challenge of tackling thorny issues, solving problems creatively, and developing winning strategies. And, of course, the satisfaction that comes from being of value to my clients and their businesses is enormous."
